Summary: Great location with easy access to major sites and the vaporetto stop and great breakfast. However, slightly chaotic hotel, rubbish bags and hoovers in hallways, staff that seemed pretty unhappy. Building materials lying around. Understand that Venice is a tourist hotspot and they are all jaded by us all but at that price it was a bit disappointing. Our room had damp stains on the walls and we had to ask to get the air conditioning working even though it was super hot. We travel a lot and stay at a lot of hotels but have to say this was a bit disappointing and did not reflect the other reviews that had been given so I am not sure why it was so different on this occasion.
