Generously furnished 2-room apartment (about 55m2) for 2 persons on the ground floor of our chalet. The apartment is rustically furnished and offers every comfort.
In an elevated, quiet and unobstructed location, with views of the mountains and the Staubbach Falls. The apartment is located about 10 minutes walk from the train station Lauterbrunnen. (Wengen, Mürren, Interlaken)
Lauterbrunnen is the starting point for the most beautiful destinations in the Bernese Oberland such as Jungfraujoch, Schilthorn, Männlichen, Kleine Scheidegg, Trümmelbachfälle. Summary: We had the most amazing stay in Lauterbrunnen in this flat located on the ground floor of Susanne's Chalet. This flat is super comfortable with a million dollar view from the patio, den and bedroom! Susanne is just the sweetest host as well. She both picked us up from the train station and then took us back when it was time to the leave. The flat is well appointed and the kitchen has everything you need in the way of utensils and flatware. The bed was very comfortable as is the sectional in the den/living room for relaxing. For just a bit more, Susanne even provided a twin bed for our 18yr old daughter who was traveling with us. Lauterbrunnen is the perfect jumping off spot for all things Jungfrau, and Susanne's chalet is located just a short ten minute walk to downtown for food and shopping, and also the train station. There are several good dining options in town and a CoOp for groceries. The Chalet is located up a steepish hill which is no problem for those in decent shape but might be a bit challenging for anyone with mobility issues if you are planning on walking it. Same for walking into town, but worth it. The whole area is a hiker's paradise and the valley and surrounding areas are postcard perfect in the way of scenery. Cannot say enough good things about the flat and Susanne's hospitality. Would give 10 stars if I could! This accommodation was everything we wanted for our first trip to Switzerland and Lauterbrunnen.
