Positive: Gorgeous cottage in a quiet street with fabulous views and everything you could want. We loved staying a week in this lovely spot. The cottage is so comfy and has everything you need to stay for a great, relaxing holiday. Very homely and everything worked! There is no wifi but the cottage gets good reception so we just used our phones without an issue. The village is small but has cafes, supermarket, petrol station, and pubs, one of which (The Scotsman's Pack) is literally at the bottom of the road, 3 mins walk away, and it is great! Some lovely walks directly out of the village and others are an easy drive through the gorgeous Peak District.

Negative: The mattress on the bed definitely needs replacing! The only thing that put a bit of a dampner on the holiday. And check in instructions could be better. Communication between booking.com and us was non-existant when we sent messages and it appears the owner doesn't have an email or look at messages. We had to call him which was difficult for us as we only had a data plan on our esim. Ended up borrowing a phone at our previous accommodation.
