Start your day with a cup of coffee on the patio overlooking the lake while the sun comes up. When other guests awaken, you can cook a nice breakfast in the fully furnished kitchen.
Grab a beach towel and head for the water. Jump in for a swim or take a boat ride. Go skiing, wake boarding or wake surfing. Then dry off on the sun deck above. Enjoy every minute because soon the day will be done.
But then its time to relax on the patio or inside the exquisitely furnished house with friends & family. You might want to watch a movie or tune into the sports channel. Pretty soon you'll be yawning, sleepy head! All three bedrooms have queen size beds with comfortable linens where you will rest comfortably after a fun-packed day on the lake.
There is plenty of carpeted space in the master bedroom for pallets for children. You may want to bring air mattresses for your extra comfort. Some extra sheets and blankets are stored in the closets. We have provided a portable crib for the baby.
The bathrooms are spacious and you have the option of tub or shower.
The back yard is great for sprinkler fun or toddler's swimming pool, or for just kicking a ball around or playing catch. Plenty of off-street parking in front.
The kitchen has a stand alone ice maker which will keep you well supplied with ice for the duration of your vacation. And of course, a full refrigerator, microwave & dishwasher. Outside cooking can be done on the Blackstone Griddle provided. Bacon and pancakes cooked outside never tasted better!
Please use your beach towels and keep our bathroom towels at the house. If you've forgotten a required life jacket, we will have a few on hand that you can borrow. But please remember to bring your own so you can be sure you have a proper fit and your safety is not at risk.
There are many fine restaurants in Brownwood (about 7 miles). One of our favorites is Underwoods BBQ Cafeteria. But you won't be disappointed by Humphrey Pete's Steak House, Section Hand Steak House, Lemons' Bar-B-Q, Schlotsky's, China King, Chili's, Prima Pasta, Wing Stop, McAlister's Deli, Cotton Patch, Jeff's Burgers, The Turtle Restaurant and many more. Corina's has fine Mexican food and is located on Hwy 279 in the lake area. Also, Wild Duck Marina is just about a mile from the house and they have a great grill and frequently have live entertainment.
The Hideout Golf Course is located at Lake Brownwood in the Feather Bay area just a few miles from the house. It is a well manicured 18 hole course, sure to suit your fancy! And The Hideout Restaurant is located there. Several times a year the historic Lyric Theater has a play. Often these are attractive for children. Brownwood has a movie theater as well as a large swim complex and bowling alley. Fancy's Day Spa would be happy to book a spa appointment for you.
If you are a fisherman, you will find this lake is excellent for fishing. You might want to enter the Bass Fishing Tournament they have each year.
Plenty of off-street parking. No RVs please.
