إيجابي: Wonderful (and amazingly comfortable) guesthouse which is run by a local family. In fact, it cannot be more “local,” because Cincotta family came to Stromboli with the very first wave of settlers in 1630s. Aptly named after “matriarch” of the family, grandmother Pedra (she is still fairly active and involved), the guesthouse faces seaside: so, if you stay, part of the deal is panoramic view over turquoise waters with some small rocky islands in the distance. Perhaps, most exquisite feature is that each room has two levels: a fully equipped apartment downstairs and a huge furnished open-air terrace on the second floor. Great place to have lunch or dinner, or simply spend a lazy afternoon. The greatest “asset” of this place, however, is cheerful and welcoming manager, Sharon, Pedra’s granddaughter. Big THANKS goes to all Cincottas who made my time on Stromboli both comfortable and meaningful. It truly felt like “home away from home.”
